Wow. She probably could buy 2 late model Flung Dung 12" sets brand new for the repair bill. But she has a better set.

I think my dream job would be to have an old-time fix it shop; but there is nothing left to fix these days so it remains a dream.

I have a neighbor, a sweet 85 year old lady with a late 90s Zenith 19" color. The picture is awful, the worst I've seen of any "black box" set. Worse than the lousy GE C2 hybrid I have. She keeps calling me because it looses its settings when the power goes out & the autoprogram tends to miss some of her favorite channels. I tried the other day to convince her to bring in the pre-RCA GE from her den but she says she likes this picture, which is fuzzy, dark, and the tint cannot be brought anywhere near right. I should mention that she bought this set from a local dealer, who is still hanging in there, and if I wasn't here she would be calling him for these periodic adjustments.
