1956 Zenith space command 200

Here is a set I found at an estate sale. They knew it was worth something, so I had to pay $75.00 to get it home. The set didnt even work. Had some bad caps in the horizontal section and needed a new lytic for the space command chassis to go again. Since the chassis was out, all the black beautys were replaced, luckily this set only had about 6 of them or so, otherwise, it had good mylar caps. The nice thing is, I got to talk to the man who bought it new, he was moving out. He and his wife took such great care of it, not one ding or scratch to be seen anywhere! Its been covered by a moving blanket in the corner of my basement since I got it in summer of 1999. I just pulled it out of the corner today to make sure everything is ok as I havnt had the set on in about 2 years.

Very nice, and a bargain at $75 I think.

Is that a 24" model?

Here's my plan

Doug:
I have a plan here. Others on the board may want to join me. All I need to know is when you're going to be out of town. Once you're gone, I'm backing a truck up to your house and emptying the basement.

Look at it this way--I'm really doing you a favor. Having all those worthless old sets hanging around is just creating a fire hazard.

Okay, now who wants to split the cost of renting a semi with me?

Bob (who can't wait for his roundie!)

Thanks for the comps. Bob, you'll love the roundie. I figure youve been waiting too long to get one and its your turn! However, thats the ONLY one I am selling!
This set uses a 21ALP4. I cant argue about the price. in fact, theres a story to the price, it was labeled $50.00 as part of the ad in the paper (why I went there) when I got there they told me $75. It wasnt worth the argument to save $25 as I could tell the group running the sale were jerks. Typical estate sale group, there big thing is antique furniture sliverware junk etc, the big $ stuff.
Oh and you know it, I was told that this set would make a great aqaurium by the cashier. NEVER!!!!!
