OH NO! This isn't supposed to happen !

I got sucker-punched

I saw this Curtis-Mathes 4-way combo on eBay, and bid $1. I figured that I'd be outbid, but guess what!

I absolutely have NO place to put it, and I didn't really want it. I just wanted to save it. I'll round up some help and go get it next week. for now, I'll have to take it to work and stick it someplace. I used to have a smaller version of that set, and I will fool around with it and see if I can get it working.

Meanwhile, if anyone has interest in this big elephant, PM me! I don't want to leave it at work too long, but a couple months might be OK.

Just when you'd never think you get it for that cheap too. I wish i had more luck like that on some TV sets I've looked at that go for 350+ when i thought they'd stop at 50. I'm sure there is someone here who would want to take that huge thin off your hands for you.

Can't say it'd be me. I'm saving all my room for roundies. I'm hooked now

According to an old CM brochure I have that model originally went for 749.50 with the tape. That's a nice set, I like it, but I have no room for it either, I've been trying to sell my big consoles lately.

Hey Adam
What consoles are you selling? Do you have a list of sets you are selling? I prefer to avoid combo sets depending.

Hey Adam
Do you still have the Knight tube tester? How about the Magnavox parts? Horn speakers etc.?
Thanks
Doug

Yeah. I still got that stuff. That's great if you want it, especially those speakers, they almost landed in the dumpster the last time I cleaned up around here. Just send me one of those messages if you want to come get it.

Wow, that set is in my neck of the woods. Camarillo is the next town up from me and where my parents live.

If you need a place to stash it, I have storage in Camarillo. I don't know that I could accept it on a permament basis, as I have no room. But, I could wish. PM me if you like.

Be careful what we wish for! Despite my New Year's resolution to the contrary, I found two more large sets recently. Now I gotta go get them. Spent the afternoon today making room in the garage. Wasn't successful. Felt like some kind of a bizarro-world nesting thing
