It looks quite a bit bigger than a 19" to me. There were some large round tubes made, mostly used by DuMont. The 19AP4 does seem to get a bad rap. I wonder if other metal/glass crts are as troublesome. The issue is vacuum loss at the seam. If that were the case they all would be trouble.

I wonder why they ever made the metal tubes.

Just a rarity. I see the standard looking SC stuff from time to time, but never ones that look like this.

I suppose I should have said, 'Its not one you'll see anytime soon'

THe SC modular chassis were very well designed and are a breeze to work on. They also produce a pretty damn good picture.
