Wish I could find an original magazine with this picture. This is from a 1963 Life magazine article about Hugo Gernsback, which reproduced a 1954 picture from one of his mags.

Pretty fonky, anyhow, even as a blurry scan of a tiny halftone reproduction.

I believe I have that article from a 1954 Electronics and radio magazine somewhere. If anyone wants it I'll try to go dig it up.

Dave, the improved version looks a little smoother, but I think the problem is that it's a very small halftone picture, so the signal to noise ratio is crummy in the first place.

Jpdylon, do you have a scanner? If so, and you have that mag, send me a PM and maybe we can work something out.
