Doug,
A 505 is a 7" electrostatic deflection set (7JP4 CRT). If that is the one in a wooden case with the row of horizontal pushbuttons for the tuner I'd say run don't walk to press $50 into the seller's hand. If that set is halfways nice looking and complete that is a very fair price. It will very likely need a complete re-cap to make it work. I think that model is 1949. |

ROB is right, grab it at 50 bucks..
i have had several of those sets, and can tell you one thing is that you will burn up a few wirewound resistors if you dont check the filter caps first, those are almost always bad in these sets..and then replacing all paper caps, the HV paper ones will be bad for sure..those are fun sets to do.. terry |

I was more interested in some of the radios he had. I saw this set at first I didn't want it but its working on me.
He is a little high on the radios I thought I make him an offer on the radios and the TV. Yes it has the row of buttions for the tuner. Thanks for the input. Doug |

Today I bought it on a combo deal with Radiola radio.
Maybe in January I'll get time to get started on it. Doug |
