Need help with RCA
I am working on an RCA KCS-111. The set has been recapped, but the "close" print I have isn't close enough. Does anyone have SAMS 396, folder 3? If so, can you scan the schematic and email it to me?

I have a copy I can scan for you if you don't have one yet. Let me know where you would like it emailed to.

The RCA lives.
My thanks to Charlie for scanning and emailing me the schematic.
I found the problem. When I replaced the lytics, I had miswired the source to the wrong side of the 22K resistor which feeds audio output. I couldn't figure out why there was a dramatic voltage drop after the tubes warmed up. A stupid error made this set drive me cuckoo. I corrected my mistake and the set now lives. Here is the set before restoration: After pic will be posted to the gallery. |
