magnovox 347h

I had someone call me a state they have a console, but the only number they can find on it is 347h? is that a model number? Console Stereo with turntable, radio & 8 track, im assuming no tubes cause 8 trac, but is it worth the pickup?

I seriously doubt it's tube if it has an 8 track. The only exception might be if someone added one of those "add on" players to a tube console. I don't think I've ever seen an 8 track player / stereo with tubes. I think I'd leave it alone. About all I do with those '70's stereos is rip the speakers and turntables out and throw out the rest. There is no demand for them. I will take the '60's tube and early solid state stereos because they are usually in a real wood case and are built better than the newer ones.

I mainly keep the speakers for use in antique radios. Most of what's found in those consoles wouldn't bring much; but, they save me from having to buy a speaker for an old radio. An exception might be some of the higher end consoles that have a 12" or 15" woofer and the horn tweeters.
