Sony KV-5000 in Northern NJ...$25!
From a local individual, who'd like to sell this Sony projection TV...
Here's a shot of the TV. Turns out its only 50" and there are only 2 "spotlights" It's a Sony KP 5000. It has a coaxial input and presets for about 10 VHF/UHF but cable or VHS/DVD works fine on channel 3 George Hotz [email protected] original Craigslist ad: Old large 60" projection TV - $25 (Glen Rock, NJ) Reply to: [email protected] Date: 2008-06-03, 10:31AM EDT This is a large heavy piece of furniture (4' x 3' footprint) with a 60" (? not sure) hard curved relective screen. It shines 3 colored spotlights at a foldout mirror which reflects back onto the screeen. The spotlights are in need of focusing adjustment (just a screwdriver trial and error job) to sharpen the picture. You must transport it (2 strong men needed) from its 3rd floor home. This unit is at least 20 years old. Thus in exchange for heavy lifting, some patient focusing, and a few bucks you've got a big screen TV! * Location: Glen Rock, NJ |

I'd pick one of those up, but only if clean and with a GOOD screen. The only problems I used to encounter on those was the HVR block. I don't remember ever having to replace the tubes.
