Oh. no. I have seen bad ePay auctions, but this takes it. This one gives me acid indigestion and heartburn with headache. All I need is my Alka-Seltzer.

Plop, plop, fizz, fizz, Oh what a relief it is.

Trust the bubbles of Alka-Seltzer to bring you speedy relief from indigestion and heartburn from seeing classic TV sets destroyed by mindless idiots.

Speedy relief...only from Alka-Seltzer.

I think we should write and ask if that gunk can be stripped off so it can be used as a TV cabinet again

See how he feels about someone wanting to ruin his "Art"

Quote from the auction description:-

"A rare piece of television art by an up and coming graphic designer."

I just can't wait for that "up and coming graphic designer" to make a name for himself if he continues making pieces of crap, sorry, I mean "art" like...

That auction is no longer listed.....short of eBay themselves pulling it, the only way this could've happened (in such a short time) is for the seller to have requested that it be removed.

Maybe he got tired of us cranky bastages squeaking at him.

Some people just don't appreciate such things. Remember, a "nice vintage television" to us AKers may be just so much trash to the average person. When I was collecting old TVs back in the '60s-'70s I found a lot of vintage '50s sets in trash piles. Many people just throw out an old TV because they don't want it cluttering their homes/basements; not knowing or caring about the antique value of the older sets, they do so without a second thought. Same thing applies to people who make fish tanks of old TV cabinets.

And to think that, back in the days of my much-misspent youth, I dispatched a goodly # of harmless older sets to the Great Studio in the Sky w/my trusty .22...Oh the agony.. Oh, the shame !! But it was kinda FUN in a deviant way.HehHehHeh -Sandy G.
