Looks like a console TV

When I visit garage or estate sales and see something that looks like the below, I think "Ah, TV set". Open the doors and more often than not I do not find a CRT, but shelves filled with dishes or such

Yeah, I get fooled too. Drexel made cabinets for the high end Motorolas as well as other manufacturers and sometimes at sales I find them with shelves instead of a tv....
As a matter of fact, I have seen the exact same Drexel cabinet used for a Motorola combo or a credenza.
I was at an estate sale this spring and saw the exact same model (I thought) of my 1968 works in a drawer combo.
When I slid the doors back, There were only shelves and they were not something added later, They were finished the same as the cabinet. Where the speakers would be there were functional doors with the same burgandy grille cloth as my combo!
