I saw a Philco 50T-1400 at the ETV convention that was in very bad shape. I was tempted to bid on it but I had some compunctions about it since I only wanted the CRT and would have probably parted out the rest.
In all the documents I look at the 12" chassis of this model used a 12LP4. But, the CRT that was in this chassis only had 4 leads going to it so it must have been a triode. I thought it might be the 12VP4 I was looking for. The base on it was crumbling and there was too much dirt to find a number. Do any of you know if the 50T-1400 ever used a CRT different than the 12LP4? John |

One of the CRT socket leads busted off. It is a 12LP4. I'm the one that bought it, just for the focua control. Unless a wire inside the CRT socket is broken, it's totally dead, but rebuildable.
