TV's, TV's everywhere!

Two more sets plopped into my lap today.

First was a 12" GE 12C109, a guy who used to tow cars for us called and said he had a set and would I be interested, sure I said, 20 minutes later I owned it.
The cabinet is rough but restorable, the CRT (Aluminized) had been replaced in the distant past and checks excellent! The chassis is clean with no visible rust and the back is there!

A little while later the Postman arrived at my work with a package, it was a VT-71 that someone sent me for free, "just pay the postage when it arrives"
It was his Grandfathers set and he wanted it to go to someone who would appreciate it and I sure do!
The 7JP4 checked out fantastic hooked up to a working set, the rest is a bit rough but also restorable missing the channel knobs and the back.

You lucky dawg...(grin) But this just shows that they STILL are "out there"...Also brings up another interesting point...Wonder how many of us have sets that have "Found US" rather than the other way around ?

I know a few have found me, including my '63 Zenith roundie. I love it when they come to me.

You are missing out on a huge money-making opportunity. Disney needs more "retro" Motorola TVs for display. Just pull out the guts and throw them away (yes, the CRT too), then spray the cabinet with several coats of polyurethane. Don't worry about the missing knob -- any old knob will do. And don't forget to super-glue the knobs to the cabinet!

A few have come my way via calling cards I've left when picking up sets in person.

I just need a few knobs and this stack should be worth $930 if I've got my eBay math right

On top of the $310 for an empty case, apparently you can get $145+ for a used 7JP4 on eBay!

Suspicious that the seller used the SAME image on this tube as a 7JP4 he was selling 1 year + ago, Hmmm...

You're right - I thought that image looked familiar! Let's see if anyone bites.
