virginia collectors: Please put in a 9 dollar bid and save this set from the dump!

http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-RCA-MODE...3%3A3|294%3A50

Don't let it get shitcanned. I hate it when people would rather trash a set than give it away.

Me too, you'd think there are plenty who would take it for free. Why dump it or recycle it? Sometimes, I think they do that as a threat knowing people like us are out there going "save it!" and will bid. I would if I were closer

It has a brightner on the tube, still it's in nice shape and a tube shoudn't be impossible to fine.
The wrong end of the country for me though.

I live a few hundred miles south, but frankly I don't have any room. I still have a 1958 Space Command I can't give away so I can bring in a color "roundie" that I aquired.

Bring that '58 SC set to the ETF convention next year, I'll take it off your hands

That is an attractive design...there was a day I would go for it, but there is no room at the inn...and it would take an amazing set indeed to get me to brave the DC beltway!

I am the one who "could not go and get the set". At this time--I CANNOT do a 16+ hour drive from here.

I am trying to get a ride for the set. BUT-=-if ANYONE here wants it--feel free. I just do NOT want it crushed and "recycled". I already paid for it, some time ago. hopefully--the bidder is "one of us". I like the set as it has a 1V2 FOCUS RECTIFIER --and a HV FOCUS tube--in a BW set. NOT very common at ALL.

Cool! I've never seen a B-W set with a seperate focus tube IIRC...it IS a nice looking set I suppose....certainly worth saving.
