1953 Spartan worth what??
Is this a typo??
Appears to be very clean and claimed to be sitting for 53 years in the same spot. But 7000 dollars?? http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/ele/1471138011.html He does seem to know a bit, at least what kind of CRT is in the cabinet.

You can't catch fish if you don't use bait. So, maybe someone will "Bite" for the 7K; Maybe not. Nothing lost by asking...

Says it's a 27" tube, rare yes, but not worth nearly that much IMHO.
Maybe $500 if the tube is good, the cabinet pristine and someone really, really, really wants it. (Ahem,,cough, cough,... Lee) |

What does a 30" Dumont go for?... to me this set is nice but I would expect it to sell for MUCH less than the Royal Sovereign. Perhaps 5-20%.

Looks to be a nice set, but its STILL gonna hafta be "gone thru", who knows about the CRT condition, etc, etc, etc...I think he'd be lucky to get $250 out of it. But I may be fulla beans.

The asking price was weird too. $7117. I wonder if he took the original price and adjusted it for inflation. That would have meant he paid about $880 for it back in '53.
