Help!! Hoffman Television
I bought my house two years ago and found an antique television in the garage. Today I decided to research the TV and see if people collect things of this nature. I was surprised to find so many people collect old television sets. The reason I'm posting is because I could not find any information on the particular television that I have. The TV is a Hoffman Easy Vision. It's in a cherry cabinet, and looks to be in good condition considering that its from the 50's (I think). To be honest I’m not sure if it’s color or black and white. The model number is 21M721. I would like to know more about it, and would appreciate it if some one could refer me to a dealer in Michigan. Thanks

Try this page:
http://www.tvhistory.tv/1950-59-HOFFMAN.htm lots of Hoffmans, but I did not see the 21M721. If it has the yellow glass, it for sure is a B/W set. There is something odd here..."M" usually indicates mahogany... Hoffman used "P" for cherry ,"B" for blonde limed oak and "W" for walnut. ![]() hope this helps, jr Last edited by jr_tech; 04-06-2010 at 07:47 PM. Reason: add finish info |

That model # is in Sams 289-4, published in 1954. Pretty sure it is a B&W set, but I don't have the Sams folder to check it.

Steve D, you are correct! My bad. Short-term memory defect, or dyslexia, not sure which. :-)
