I need a picture Andrea TVK-12 back

Would anyone have a picture of the back on one of these?

I don't have a picture of a Andrea TVK-12 back but it's interesting the top edge and bottom edge of the ETF set is straight while my set has large wooden feet and the top is tapered in from the sides of the set. I don't think mine has a back (its in a storage unit). I will have to drive over and check.

That's an interesting cabinet variation, I wonder if it's an earlier model?

Mine looks exactly like the ETF set and that's where I got the model number,
the Ad below it however has the same cabinet as your set.

The back is missing on mine but the tube chart says it's a TV-12 Chassis.

The rounded cabinet is the 1950 Saratoga model and the square top model is earlier, 48/49.

Eric, I drove over to my storage unit and checked to see if my Andrea has a back. Unfortuneately it doesn't have one. I remember a discussion a while back where two or three members had their front glass broken in shipment. So there are some Andreas out there. Hopefully someone with a back will post a picture here.

Richard, I can see the glass getting broken very easily, particularly if the chassis is loose.

I was scared bringing mine home in the back of the truck, the chassis was slightly loose and every bump made me nervous.

As it turned out it was broken already, however it's only a sliver below the wood line where it wont show.

the first thing I did was remove it and make a 1200 DPI scan for future reference if anything happens to it.

It'll be hard to duplicate exactly though because the Red and White markings are printed on the front, the Green Brown and Gold are on the back (or vice versa)

I'm sure they have to be similar, maybe some dimensional differences between the cabinets but close.

At least I know it was metal now, I had no idea before.

I see the back has some depth to accommodate the CRT, I don't know if my model needs that or not, I don't think the CRT protrudes at all but I think it's a 12QP4 (with an ion trap) and shorter than most 12" tubes.

Thank you Steve, it appears the earlier model has a flat back.

That should make it a lot easier to fabricate.
