I've got the TeleTone version of this set, it has a small crack in it though.
Someone's selling an empty case for one on eBay that I'd like to have but the price is way too high. http://cgi.ebay.com/1949-Silvertone-...item35aac04492 I've looked at the schematics for both version and the TeleTone seems to have been "Muntzed" in comparison to the Sears, it has a really bare bones chassis.

I know the Teletone has only two video IF stages. Using 6AH6s the theoretical gain is perhaps not much less than the average three stage set. I knew somebody who had one that was restored and the picture was nice enough on cable. On an antenna it might not have done so well outside of strong-signal areas.
