Unhappy Backwards electrolytic cap, dammit

I've been doing this stuff for decades, but I still managed to wire up an electrolytic cap backwards. After putting it in, turned the set on, and heard more hum, and got that overheated resistor smell. Looked at the cap I just put in, and yes, reverse polarity. Removed it, threw it out, and more carefully installed another one. Seems the resistor survived okay, set workss as it should.
