A couple of good Fernseh camera history sites

G'day all.

I found a couple of excellent sites which share the historical developments of the Fernseh television camera which I thought I'd share for those interested in Fernseh gear. Here they are:

There are two IO colour cameras of real interest I'd thought I'd mention. Firstly it appears Fernseh made a TK-41 type colour camera for Japan when they started colour broadcasts in 1960, the camera can be found halfway down this page http://www.oebl.de/Fernseh/Kamera/index.html . I wonder if anyone has any good info on this camera as it intrigues me? Secondly the Fernseh KC33 super orthicon colour camera http://www.fernsehmuseum.info/fese-kc-33.html there were a few interesting design plans for this model in terms of tube and lens mirror layout, the first diagram showing a prism optics layout and the traditional mirror splitter arrangement, the second another mirror layout and the third one being of a two tube arrangement in which an IO tube is used for the luminance and a tricolour striped vidicon tube used for the chroma and a prism splitter to split the beam of light to both tubes.

Speaking of the IO and tricolour vidicon arrangement, prior to seeing that diagram I have been thinking a lot about the idea of converting B&W IO cameras to colour using the IO for the luminance and a colour CCD for the chroma and a prism splitter to split the beam to both the IO and CCD and seeing this diagram is a perfect example of what I've been thinking of but with a CCD instead of a tricolour vidicon.

Anyways those Fernseh sites pretty much cover every Fernseh broadcast grade camera ever made and are great reference sites for anyone researching Fernseh cameras.
