Was Given One This AM...

Friend of mine bought a little house to flip, & in cleaning out a shed, he ran across an old TV, & asked if I wanted it...Of Course ! I says. Well, its a 12" wood tabletop Motorola, it was made 14 Oct 49, it is a TS-23A chassis & uses a 12 LP4 CRT. The case is SHOT, basically useless except as a pattern, & the set itself is FILTHY beyond belief, but looks all there, at 1st glance. Any idears as to what my new found playpretty might be ?

I always contemplated taking an orphan early chassis and do a DIY project with it. A custom cab. A retro space age Green Hornet communication device?

Does it look like this, Sandy? This is not my set, but I have one identical to it. The cabinet for mine is in pretty rough shape and missing the knobs. It's a 12VT13 with a TS-23 chassis. Sams 92 covers it.

If that AIN'T my set, its gotta be its double 1st-cousin. Mine has one knob, which obviously ISN'T the correct one...
