Adjusting Vertical

I'm starting to address issues with the Avanti and one thing I've notice and want to fix before convergence is the vertical size issue. When the grid pattern is on the screen, or any pattern, the bottom half of the screen is compressed some and the top half is expanded some. Makes for an odd image.

I found two controls on the vertical board. One is vertical size and the other is vertical linearity. Will a tweaking of both these address the issue I have?

Thanks

Yes. Try it this way
Adj. height so there is some black on top & bottom.
Adj. lin to even out line spacing.
If OK adj. height to fill screen.
Usually you have to do a little at a time going back & forth
between them. They interact. Go a little beyond just filling
the screen. If it has centering use that too. It just moves
the whole pix up & down but does not effect size or geometry.

OOPS If you cant fix it with the controls there IS
a failure. Look at the tips someone sent for an easy
answer, hopefully.
