This might be the answer to RTV133, plus Future floor polish

Hi guys,

I've been doing a bit of searching online for plastic repairs, but I discovered this in my travels.

http://sugru.com/pdfs/tds.pdf

It has a dielectric strength of 398 V/mil, or 15.7kV per millimeter! It's like modeling clay in the pack and it forms a tough silicone overnight. If it's any god, it might be easier to get a nice looking flyback transformer than messing around with silicone. (Thanks Bob Andersen for your trick of using fingers wet with alcohol to get a smooth finish, it works very well!)

I'd be interested to try this out when or if my tube of RTV133 runs out.

Lastly, a few airplane model makers recommend Johnson Future acrylic floor polish for plastics. Not sure how it would go for TVs and radios, but probably worth a look. I'm sure some of you will come up with ingenious uses for it!

Cheers,

Adam
