Has anyone ever tried to clean the tape of stuff it has collected since ya had it??

I dont know wheather running water over the tape would totally ruin it but seems like you could get it back to NEW status and use it more

Either that or take a brush and gently clean it off (You'd have to take it out of the case of course)
