I'm probably pushing it, but....

Hi guys,

I've just spotted a nice Predicta Tandem on eBay. It's located in Winnetka, California. Unfortunately, he won't ship or even pack it. Is there anyone who can provide info on a shipping service that collects the TV from his place and then ships to me in Australia?

Any info greatly received!

Cheers,

Adam

Craters and Freighters does a nice job of packing and shipping. I've sent several overseas using them.

Thanks Steve,

I'll Google them now. It's always nice to have a starting point.

Cheers,

Adam

Good luck! I think that's the first UHF tandem I've seen.

Thanks Bob,

From my limited knowledge, that does indeed seem rare. The main reason I like this one is the cosmetic condition, and the fact that I know the flyback and CRT are OK. When paying a squillion to get a TV like this shipped, I want to know first that it's restorable without having to look for another CRT or other hard to find parts. If I win, it's another trip off to the electroplaters.

I've sent Craters and freighters an email, I'll see what they say. I'm also happy to pay a forum member who lives nearby to collect it and drop it off to a shipper if need be.

Cheers,

Adam
