An early junker color TV in LI?

It looks like a '54-'55 RCA color set, but I'm not sure.

It's seems this set was discussed in ARF. It is indeed a prototype CT-100. It's a mess, but considering the rarity and historical significance, it's worth rebuilding.
I would be very surprised that's still for sale.

I have a feeling the seller is getting the idea that he has something. The last I heard it's still for sale. He might be doing a little research. I have a feeling it's going to be a tough one to acquire.

Now sold. In that condition, I doubt there was a ton of interest unless the chassis was somehow in much better condition than the exterior. This is the kind of thing you buy just to say you own it. It would be like buying the burned out remains of a Lamborghini on Copart just to say you own a Lamborghini.
