Hello, everyone. I am new to the forums but certainly not tv's. Anyway, I've got an old Admiral model 12b854k and would like to know the approximate age of the set (my guess is late 70's) and how to repair it.

Welcome, Zenith! That is a 1978 model. It appears that the '8' in the model # stands for the year. I have a copy of the factory service manual that I could send you if you want. Send me a PM (private message) with you address if interested.

Thanks for the response! As for the repair i think i have a dirty tuner--because the pic comes and goes with accompanying flashes and i have to wiggle the vhf knob. I know the set isnt worth anything, but i found it in my grandmothers home along with a tube magnavox console!! Which works!
