1940's Dumont console on the 'bay...
I try to avoid posting too many of these auction notices, but this one looks like too good a deal to go unnoticed. Electronically it looks kind of rough, but the cabinet looks pretty nice and it seems to be all there. And it's one of the more unusual designs I've seen as well... Could be a great project, I'd prolly jump on it if it was closer. It's in the Dallas area, btw.

Nice set, I had thought about mentioning it also.
It has a brightner on the CRT though, also what's the focusing coil doing off to the side? Did it quit working and someone put a permanent magnet type focusing assy on there?

Oh, that's what that is... I noticed something looked a little out of place. It is a potential basket case electronics-wise, but it still looks restorable, and it's prolly worth the money just for the cabinet. Too bad I can't find something like that around my area, this place is a dead zone for old TVs for some reason.
