Exclamation Sometimes you just gotta have the full documentation on a TV set

My Admiral 24R12 bakelite floor model TV set's horizontal circuits had been showing wiggles and "flag waving". Got the Sam's so I could do the horizontal circuit adjustments. One big problem was that, during a recap, a 0.01uF wax cap was replaced with a cap that claimed to be 0.01, but when I pulled it to measure it, was really 0.014uF. Enough off to not allow the adjustments to get that double peak waveform the doc's described. Replaced it with an orange drop (1KV voltage rating) that measured at 0.0105uF and the horiz circuits started to behave better. The horiz frequency adjustments is still a bit close to an end of its adjustment range, but otherwise behaves pretty well. Now for a long term run to see if it stays good after being all warmed up in the cabinet.

40 minutes later it's still behaving. But it's bed time and it's a "school" night (gotta go to work tommrow).
