Need uhf/vhf box when using vcr?
If I am running the signal into my old tvs via the antenna run into VCR and from there to the tv (channel 3), do I really need one of the little antenna boxes that splits it into vhf and uhf anymore? Can I just run it straight into the tv by using a connector that just converts from coax to the wires that go to the tv? thanks

All you need is a 75ohm to 300ohm matching transformer, to connect the coax feed from the VCR to the VHF antenna terminals on the television. i.e. - one of those little F connector coax things with the two leads coming out of it. There's no need for the other kind of box, the one that connects to both - since you're not going to be using the UHF tuner on the set at all, just leaving the VHF set to 3 or 4.
