tuner dirty

I picked up an old b&w tv and the tuner is real dirty. It has a turret type tuner. I tried commercial tuner wash but it doesn't touch it. What else can I use to clean it? Thanks John

Use some 0000 steel wool on the contacts and then the cleaner. Blow off the drum with air when you are done

I like to use Dexoit on a lint-free cloth to deoxidixe the contacts on the tuner strips.
