Rca 6-t-71 ???
I saw one of these at a local GW today. It is a really nice console with the roundie tube you guys like. Sorry no pics. I am tempted to save it from there and offer it here or on ebay. What would one of these old TV's be worth? Rough estimate...
Any ideas? Thanks, Ken

IIRC that's about a 1951. I've had a couple in different configurations, that one might have double doors in the front. Not worth a ton unless it's actually working.

Kam,
You are right on the double doors. The cabinet is in really nice shape. I don't know if it works or not. I will have to go back over and give it a test. Not worth a ton you say? Can you give me a realy rough estimate working and not working? I am curious if it is even worth the effort for me to lug this beast home or not... Thanks, Ken

Yep, it's the one I was thinking of then. About a 16" screen, with a yellowish mask, 4 controls on the front, RCA Victor cursive in the center.
It all depends on your market. If I were in the market for that set, standing in front of me it might be worth $50 in unknown condition, and a fair price would be $125-$150 for a working set. The worst thing about those is that the picture tube fronts are always dirty, and you have to take the picture tube out of the set to clean them, it isn't mounted on the chassis. If you're thinking of taking the plunge into the hobby, though, it's a good set to start on
