Sylvania Halo Light TV

There is a Sylvania Halo Light TV with AM/FM Radio and turntable on Ebay. If anyone is interested here is the web address: http://cgi.ebay.com/1950s-sylvania-t...QQcmdZViewItem

Man! Someone needs to save that. I've never seena halolight combo, and the standalone ones are getting rare as it is. Perhaps not worth a ton of money, but rare none the less.

I have a couple of mid-50's Sylvania brochures and they dont show a halolight combination set! What a neat item to have but to bad its kinda far away! I would have wished the finish to be darker as it would be easier to touch up, the light finish is much harder to make nice.

That one's nice AND look at the others offered that year. Beautiful.

One thing is for sure... I've never heard anyone make a comment about the working condition of a TV as this seller has....

"it makes the noises that a tv makes when snow is falling"

The 21" Halolights of this time commonly used the 21EP4... a hard tube to find... and there is no sub due to the way it fits against the mask.

Recently, I've found 3 of these tubes, and only one out of the three tested good.

I have a philco that I ran into the same problem with. A 21FP4 has the same demensions and face. The only difference between it and the EP4 is te 21FP4 has electrostatic focus.

Don Lindsly ofered me an NOS 21EP4, so I'm sure if someone needs one you can ask him. The 21FP4 was good enough for me. The only reason i got that one instead is because I didn't have to deal with shipping.
