Anyone know what a Zenith Model B2249 B&W floor model t.v might be worth?
Vintage 1954-55.

Appears to be about a 20-22" screen. Will try and get a camera and post a pic this weekend.

Very nice looking set - definitely a keeper. Once recapped and adjusted that should produce a nice picture - I actually wouldn't be suprised if it worked as-is - those Zeniths are really well made. But don't just go plugging it in until you've checked it out first - you don't want to blow up something hard to replace (power transformer, etc.) There are lots of threads around here that can tell you how to soft-start a set that hasn't been powered on in a long time, so that you have the best chance of reforming the electolytics.

The Sams for this set is #429-2.

Value? The market is all over the place...there is a real oversupply of some of these mid-50s sets. It comes down to where you live (not practical to ship) and if anyone near you really wants it. There are a number of guys on here with similiar sets that they have been trying to give away for years with no takers. (I'm one of those guys) Other times these sets will go on ebay for $50-150?

That's what I figured on the value. Guess I'll put it in one of those newspapers like the Trade'n Times. Hate to just toss it on the lawn. It still works as far as I know. Didn't know any better and plugged it in couple years ago and it worked.
Anybody out there in Cleveland want this set?

Take it to John's TV Repair, 4529 Pearl Road in Cleveland. He'll give you the straight scoop on what it's worth, will take it off your hands if you want, and will get it into a collector's hands instead of into the hands of a fishtanker.
