I see how it works now and I'm dying to try it. When you said RV refrigerator cooling units I got a clear picture of way it will look and act. I may do a thread on this some time as I don't think many people do it this way and I'm sure it would provide a lot more protection than peanuts, cardboard stuffing and double boxing.

UPS and probably Fedex too have what seems like to me a strange way of determining price. The box size can stay the same for a rather large change in weight and the price stays the same. When the box size increases, the price goes up even if the weight is less than the heavier small box. My point is if one can keep the box size small, no second box, then the price for shipping will automatically be less. I have used the peanut double box method and not only is it more work and cost more due to size, it really doesn't provide any more protection than a single box using the expanded foam method.
