Consumer Reports magazine used to mention the four-year Curtis Mathes warranty, specifically that it applied to (if I remember right) parts only. So, their dealers probably sold a lot of labor contracts, or used labor coverage as a bargaining option.

The Curtis Mathes like the Emersons used plastic bezzel and usually cut corners on costs. Unlike the majors that used metal bezzels. Probably made by Wells gardner.

I have a pre-1965 (no UHF) Curtis Mathis color roundie in my garage. It does have a white raster when powered up, so it seems the flyback, yoke, vertical output transformer, and CRT are ok. I need to get around to restoring it.

I cleaned out a TV shop in Athen's Texas near where one of the Curtis Mathis factories was(The empty building is still there) and found this set.
