This one claims to be colour TV at the Soviet exhibit, but it looks like black and white gear to me:

Wow, those stage lights appear blinding in the picture.. I wonder how many kilowatts of lighting do you think are bathing that ensemble playing? Probably baking the varnish of the instruments!

Then they take a B&W picture to record this memorable event...

Recommended base light level for the TK-41 was 400 foot candles (about 8 times fairly bright office lighting, and about 5 times that recommended for black and white).
Color photography indoors by available light was not very common in 1958 unless you worked for a magazine that specialized in it (e.g., National Geographic). |

[QUOTE=John Marinello;2963654]Then they take a B&W
picture to record this memorable event...[/QUOTE Viewing the large photo of the brightly lit stage. Looks like a color photo to me. Look closely at the far left off stage area. I see some color info. Also see some color on the left two monitors as well as the color monitor just right of center. I can also can detect some color in the forground audience. -Steve D.

The only color I see is the poor gray scale tracking of the scanner, which should have been set to black and white for a black and white photo.
